Eldora "Eldy" C. Sitzmann, 89, of Kingsley, passed away on Monday, December 24, 2012, surrounded by family at her home. Eldora was born November 3, 1923 in Mapleton, Iowa, the daughter of Theodore and Gertrude (Schuh) Flammang. At the age of 2 or 3 she moved with her family to Kingsley. Eldora married Ralph Sitzmann on November 25, 1941 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Kingsley. The couple farmed and attended Neptune Catholic Church northwest of Kingsley until moving into Kingsley in 1978. Ralph passed away April 17, 2001.Eldora was employed at Archie's Wayside and Hi Lite Steak House, both in Le Mars, IA. She also worked for Rudolph Co. and Rob Ross plant, both in Kingsley. She was also a florist working out of her home. Eldy worked at all of this besides helping with the farm work and raising eleven children.Eldora is survived by her two sons; Clark of Edgeley,ND and Terry (Laura) of Orange City; nine daughters, Diane (Doug) Harrington of West Point, NE, Karen (La Mont) Schmid , Maureen (Dennis) Schmid both of Kingsley, Leann (Curt) Sullivan of Bull Head City, NV, Colette (Dave) Schinstock of West Point, NE, Denise (Duane) Wilson, Darnell (Roger) Ruba, Shelly (Gary) Bohlke and Stacie O'Keefe, all of Kingsley; 39 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren; a brother, A.J. (Bud) Flammang of Gurnee, IL and a sister, Berniece Timmins of Kingsley.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph; great grandson, Blake Sitzmann; three brothers, Kenny, Leonard and Donald; and three sisters, Josephine Van Buskirk, Leona Preble, and Arlene Grabow.
