Lisa K. Nordstrom, age 62 of Sioux City, IA and formerly of Pierson, IA passed away Friday, March 14, 2025. She leaves behind a lifetime of love, friendship and cherished memories.

Lisa was born November 13, 1962, the daughter of George and Lainys (Laude) Hardie. She grew up in Pierson, IA where she attended Kingsley-Pierson School. She was an active student, sharing her love of music as a pianist and saxophonist as well as participating in golf. Her talent at the piano brought joy to many, whether she was playing at home or filling in at the Pierson First Christian Church. During high school, she was involved in Rainbow Girls, where she proudly served in various roles including Worthy Advisor.

After graduating in 1981, Lisa attended college in Vermillion, SD, to pursue a degree in dental hygiene. However, after an internship, she quickly realized that working in people’s mouths everyday was not quite her calling. She attended Morningside College where she earned a degree in Elementary Education in 1993. She found her passion in the workforce, holding positions at the Sheriff’s Department, Sioux Bee Honey, Palmer Candy Company, Hy Vee and ultimately Bomgaars where she spent 25 fulfilling years serving customers and making lasting friendships.

Lisa’s greatest joy in life was her family. In Sioux City, she met the love of her life, Oscar Nordstrom, and the two were married June 24, 2000 at First Christian Church in Pierson. Their marriage was blessed with their beloved daughter, Liberty, whom Lisa adored. She was Liberty’s biggest cheerleader, supporting her in dance, choir, bowling and cross-country.

Lisa will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Oscar Nordstrom and daughter, Liberty both of Sioux City, IA; her step-mother, Geri Hardie of Houston, TX; sister, Leslie (Marc) Stewart of Laurens, IA; brother-in-law, Eric (Tina) Nordstrom of Sioux Falls, SD; nephew, Ben (Katelynn) Nordstrom of Sioux City, IA; nephew, Devin (Jacqulyn) Stewart of West Des Moines, IA; nieces, Melinda (Tim) Lanahan of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, and Meghan Nordstrom; great-nephews, Cameron Stewart and Sawyer Lanahan; great-niece, Emery Lanahan

She is now reunited with her parents, George and Lainys Hardie; grandparents, Bill and Hilda Hardie, and LeRoy and Myrtle Laude; cousin, Shari (Godfrey) Blackburn; and many family members and friends who went before her.
