Partick W. Robeson, age 79, of Sioux City, and formerly of Moville, IA passed away unexpectedly and peacefully at his home in Sioux City, Iowa on March 13, 2025.

Funeral service will be 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Sunnybrook Community Church in Sioux City, Iowa. Visitation with fellowship to follow the funeral from 5-6:30 p.m. Burial will be Thursday March 20, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Kingsley Cemetery in Kingsley, Iowa.  Services have been entrusted to Kingsley Funeral Home & Monument/Rohde Funeral Home in Kingsley, IA. www.kingsleyfh.com

Partick W. Robeson was born May 9, 1945, the son of Marlin “Trix” and Eileen (Turkington) Robeson in Le Mars, Iowa. He lived his early years in Kingsley until moving to the family farm outside of Moville in 1951. He graduated from Woodbury Central High School in Moville in 1963. He attended Barber School in Sioux City, Iowa. He attended Norfolk Community College. He received his BS in education from Westmar College and his Masters Degree in administration and guidance through the University of South Dakota.

Pat married Lynette Bogenrief on September 2, 1967 at the Kingsley Methodist Church. Soon after marriage, the couple moved to Mapleton, Iowa where Pat taught science, was the guidance counselor and assistant wrestling coach at Maple Valley. In 1974, they moved to Sioux City where Pat accepted a position as admissions counselor at WITCC. In 1976, the family moved back to Moville and he became the principal and guidance counselor at Lawton-Bronson. In 1988, he assumed the role as assistant principal at West High in Sioux City until 1990 when he became the principal of Hunt Elementary. He continued his career as a guidance counselor at Underwood High School, River Valley High School and finished his career at Westwood High School. In 1994, Pat retired from the the school system and fostered his love of the auctioneering. Pat attended the World Wide College of Auctioneering in Mason City, lowa and began an association with Brock Auction Co.

Pat and Lynn moved to Sioux City from their acreage in 2014 to be closer to their family. He loved spending time with his grandsons watching them play football and wrestle. Time on the golf course with his grandsons and friends was also valued. He was an adored father and grandpa and will be greatly missed. Pat also enjoyed his work at Brock Auction Company. He frequently donated his time to many charity auctions throughout the years including: Siouxland Humane Society, GeeGee’s Play House, Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools, Little Yellow Dog, Ronald McDonald House and White Horse Patrol Auction.

He was a member of Kingsley Methodist Church, Abu Bekr Shriners and Sioux City Consistory. He was an avid collector of Auction items. One of Pat’s most well know phrases was “I Know A Guy”.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Lynn of Sioux City, IA; One daughter, Brandee Koedam and her husband Clinton of Sergeant Bluff, IA; 3 grandsons, Ty, Bo and Dax Koedam; one brother, Gary Robeson of Sioux City, IA; 2 brothers-in-law; Gary (Cindy) Bogenrief of North Sioux, Iowa, and Tom (Joyce) Bogenrief of York, Neb.; nieces and nephews, Kelly, Heidy, Christopher, Jennifer, Aaron, Mindy, Kami, Jill and Tracy, And many good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Marlin and Eileen; his in-laws, Delbert & Shyrl Bogenrief

Casket bearers will be Clinton, Ty, Bo and Dax Koedam.
