Sylvia Ann Beelner, 86, of Kingsley, IA passes away Monday, December 31, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center, surrounded by family. Sylvia was born July 14, 1926, in Kingsley, Iowa, the daughter of Oscar and Anna (Kimm) Meister. She was a life long resident of Kingsley. She attended school in Kingsley, graduating from high school in 1943. She married Donald Beelner on September 21, 1944 at St. Michael Catholic Church. Together they raised five children, Betty, Rick, Joan, Dennis, and Barb. Don passed away on April 5, 1989. Sylvia was a member of St. Michael's Guild and the Red Hat Society. She worked as a bookkeeper for the family business, Beelner Service as well as being a housewife and mother. She enjoyed dancing and playing cards. She was known for always having several types of cookies available at all times. Sylvia had a strong sense of family, enjoying her children and grandchildren. She was very generous with her time and talents to the church and community. Survivors include her children, Betty (Roger) Hansen, Rick (Debbie) Beelner, Joan (Mike) Hagan, Dennis (Cindy) Beelner, and Barb (Bruce) Clark-Duhn; grandchildren,Tom (Sarah) Hansen, Theresa (Chris) Waldo, Angela Hansen, Jennifer (Jeff) Florke, Todd (Stephanie) Beelner, Drew (Katie) Beelner, Becky (Josh) Wilson, Christopher (Kristi) Hagan, Lindsay (Luke) Weyer, Matt (Jacque) Beelner, Dustin (KayCee) Beelner, Danelle Beelner, Stevey Clark, and Tyler Clark; twelve great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Lorraine Meister, and a brother-in-law, Joe Grubb. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; son-in-law, Mark Clark; and granddaughter, Mindy Beelner; four brothers, Roy, Russel, Ralph, and Melvin Meister.
