David was employed at Fisch Funeral Home for ten years before purchasing the business from his father in January of 2009. David is a Remsen native. He attended the University of Iowa before attending the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, where he earned his degree. His wife, Elizabeth, is also a licensed Funeral Director. She earned her license from DMACC. Liz and Dave have three sons who attend elementary through high school in Remsen.
Joel T. Fisch graduated from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science in August of 1972. Joel and his wife Jean (Niggeling) returned from Dallas to their hometown of Remsen to work for his parents at the funeral home. Jean attended the LeMars Beauty College where she received her degree in Cosmetology in 1987, making FFH one of few to have an in-home beautician at all times. In 1976 Joel and Jean took over ownership of the funeral home until selling it to David in 2009.
Mark was born and raised in the O'Neill, Nebraska area, graduating from St. Mary's High School. He furthered his education by graduating with a bachelor's degree from St. Thomas University located in St. Paul, Minnesota. Mark worked for a period of time at Boy's Town, Omaha, Nebraska as an assistant Family Teacher, prior to attending the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science in Dallas, Texas. Mark is married to Tami Siecke-Rohde and together they have three adult children, and five grandchildren. Mark is licensed in both Iowa and South Dakota. He has been in the funeral service for 33 years.
Tami is a Nebraska native, having lived in multiple places with her family. She graduated from Franklin High School in Franklin, Nebraska. She went on to college in Lincoln, Nebraska to attend Nebraska Wesleyan University. Tami transferred after her sophomore year to Bishop Clarkson School of Nursing in Omaha, Nebraska. She graduated with her RN and while working full time at Bishop Clarkson Hospital she obtained her BSN. Tami has worked as an Oncology nurse for a little over 38 years. She recently retired from June E. Nylen Cancer Center in Sioux City, Iowa after working there for 32 1/2 years. In 2009, she went back to school to become a Funeral Director, graduating in 2010 from DMAC Mortuary Science Program in Des Moines, Iowa. She is married to Mark and they have lived in Kingsley for the past 24 years.
Kaden Kraft was born and raised in Kingsley, Iowa, graduating from Kingsley-Pierson High School in 2024. He is currently furthering his education to become a licensed funeral director. He has been serving as a funeral assistant with Rohde Funeral Home since 2022 and started with Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in 2024.
